In Part 1: University Administrator Isabella convinces her young friend Julie to join her and her professor brother Claude at a swanky New Year’s Eve party. In the car on the way to the party Julie feels nervous, worried she won’t fit in. Claude is distracted and not looking forward to the evening. And worse, he suspects that his sister has designs to set him up with Julie.
