Born in 1811 – Harriet Beecher Stowe, American author and activist.

Billings’ biographer James F. O'Gorman wrote that having no visual precedent, this was “without doubt the most important image of the first edition.”
Also, born in 1928, Argentinian-Cuban revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara.
Guevara, in a 1956 letter to his mother:
I am not Christ or a philanthropist, old lady, I am all the contrary of a Christ.... I fight for the things I believe in, with all the weapons at my disposal and try to leave the other man dead so that I don't get nailed to a cross or any other place.
